Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1973 musical drama film starring Ted Neeley, Carl Anderson, Barry Dennen, Yvonne Elliman, Kurt Yaghjian, and Bob Bingham. It was directed by Ted Neeley and co-written by Carl Anderson and Barry Dennen. During the week leading up to the crucifixion, the antagonism between Jesus and Judas takes front stage in the story.
"This Jesus Must Die" is also a part of the 1973 film adaptation of "Jesus Christ Superstar". Despite the movie's initial controversial reception, it has since gained cult status and been recognized for its importance to musical cinema.
