It's an old wives tale that people have been spreading since the iPhone 3G or so days. The bulk of the resource intensive work iOS does after upgrades doesn't actually happen unless the phone is plugged into power. Select iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro users are reporting a peculiar battery health issue within less than a year after purchasing their respective iPhones. According to posts on social media and as reported by The Verge, certain users claim that the battery health of their recent iPhones has dropped to 90 per cent or even 80 per cent. My wife has a severe battery collapse problem : iOS 17 iPhone 15 pro max. She gave me her 14 pro max, we leave at the same time with 100%. Two hours later 15 is at 31% and 14 is at 96%. Battery health says 100% peak performance. This is catastrophic. iPhone 15 pro max is in battery saving mode, all apps quit, bt and WiFi off and gps off. I am aware of that. The problem here is that this happened long after the recalibration had ended. The battery recalibrated while I was on iOS 14.5, and it stayed at where it was before, which is 98%. Fast forward to the release date of 14.6, I updated the OS, checked my battery health within a day or two after updating, and it was still at 98%. Using the three horizontal lines on the right side of each option, drag and drop the Low Power Mode toggle to your preferred location. Exit the Settings app. From the Home Screen, swipe down from the top right corner to reveal Control Center. Tap the Low Power Mode button (looks like a half-empty battery indicator). Go to Settings > Battery and wait for the categories to populate. You likely have something running in the background you need to stop running. You can also Force Restart your iPhone (something you should do routinely anyway) by following the procedure in this support document --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support. Battery Health My phone's (iPhone 13 Pro) battery health dropped to 98% in about 2.5 months. 10 days ago it was 99%. I had a 1% loss in 10 days. I think it's abnormal for it to drop so fast. Could you help? mXdXxPR.
